What is RIE CEE?
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) in order to provide admission to candidates in teaching courses offered at Prarambh and Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) located at Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Mysore, and Shillong.

RIE CEE Eligibility Criteria
RIE CEE 2021 eligibility criteria for BSc BEd, BA BEd, and MSc Ed courses is as mentioned below:

BSc BEd | Candidates who have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Statistics (PCM) subjects fulfill RIE CEE eligibility criteria for BSc BEd course admissions under Physical Science group. Candidates who have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects fulfill RIE CEE eligibility criteria for BSc BEd course admissions under Biological Science group. Candidates should have cleared Class XII from a recognised board with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates). Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams in 2019 are also eligible to apply. |
BA BEd | Candidates who have cleared Class XII in Science, Commerce, or Arts stream with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates) meet RIE CEE 2021 eligibility criteria for BA BEd course. Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams in 2021 are also eligible to apply. |
MSc Ed | To meet RIE CEE eligibility criteria for MSc Ed course admissions, candidates should have cleared Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Statistics subjects. RIE CEE Admission Process
RIE CEE admission process includes the following steps:
Step 1: Fill RIE CEE application form
For RIE CEE 2021 registrations, candidates need to fill the application form in the online mode on the official website of RIE Ajmer. After RIE CEE application form is duly filled, candidates need to take a printout of it and send it to the address mentioned on the form.
RIE CEE application fee: Candidates can pay the application fee both in the online mode (via debit/ credit card) and offline mode [via SBI challan (to be printed online at State Bank Collect)].

Note: A candidate can apply for more than one course with a single application form.
Step 2: Download RIE CEE admit card
After the application form is successfully submitted, candidates can download their RIE CEE 2021 admit card from the official website of RIE Ajmer. Admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the RIE CEE 2021 exam centre.
Step 3: Appear for RIE CEE exam
Next, candidates need to appear for RIE CEE 2021 at the allotted exam centre. RIE CEE entrance exam contains 80 questions of 160 marks. Candidates need to complete the exam in a duration of two hours.
Step 4: Check RIE CEE result
Candidates can check their RIE CEE 2021 result on the official website of RIE Ajmer. Candidates qualifying the teaching entrance exam will then be eligible to secure admission at NCERT RIE in their respective courses.
Step 5: Appear for RIE CEE counselling
Lastly, candidates need to appear for the RIE CEE 2021 counselling session at their respective RIEs. In the counselling session, candidates will be allotted seats in their respective courses on the basis of merit.
